They are perfect for surface preparation, conditioning or finishing and thanks to their break-away grain technology, they stay sharp right down to the last strip! Swarts’ poly strip discs feature a woven nylon mesh embedded with silicon carbide that is spongy enough to work on both flat or curved surfaces while producing minimal noise AND dust! The density of our poly strip discs has been fine tuned to maximise air flow while reducing surface temperature ensuring longevity and quality.

By: Glenn Williams on 19 January 2024I sometimes buy used metal cabinets, legs, things like that off of the various online sites. These make quick work of stripping off the rust without damaging the metal. They are very hard to the touch, so you wonder how they work so well, but they do, better than wire wheels, sandpaper or anything else I've tried in the past. The only downside to these types of stripping discs are that they do tend to wear quickly, and I'd estimate that on average, I get 2, maybe 3 projects per wheel on average. But they're not expensive, so no complaints. There are countless makers of these and you'll see them online. I don't see any difference between these and the others, and that's good. I do chuckle at the name of some of the "manufacturers", this being one of the better ones.
